About Nathalie Schnabl

Nathalie (N.F.H.) Schnabl LLM (1991) is as a PhD Candidate affiliated with the Open University (the Netherlands). The Open University is a Dutch university specialized in distance university education in the Netherlands and Flanders. Next to education, the Open University is dedicated to cooperation in both education as research with other institutes and universities. Since 1 September 2018, Schnabl is researching the social dimension of the rule of law under the supervision of prof.dr.mr. Ronald Janse, specialized in the rule of law, and prof. dr. Carla (C.M.) Zoethout, specialized in comparative constitutional law, democracy and human rights. Her PhD research explores the concept and the legal requirements of the social dimension of the rule of law (in line with the work of authors such as Nicholas Barber and Jeff King). Before her position at the Open University, she completed her Master’s degree in Law, namely the specialization Constitutional and Administrative Law and the specialization Jurisprudence and Philosophy of Law. In addition to her PhD research, Schnabl is involved in several courses such as Introduction to Constitutional Law, Constitutional Law.
